Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick

The weather was set fair today so we decided to get out and photograph a different part of the Lakes.

We managed to get out fairly early and drove up through the Lakes to Castlerigg Stone Circle, Keswick. Then onto Ashness Bridge and Surprise View above Derwentwater. Absolutely no traffic on the roads.

Over the Honister Pass to Buttermere. By the time we reached Buttermere it wasn't as sunny which was a pity and the path by the north end of the lake was closed (which we visited with LPH a few weeks ago) was closed.

We had a really good day and came back via Honister again to collect a small slate memento for C&N's wedding next year. I will need to remember where I put it for safe-keeping.
