Christmas Airport

Not a great start to the day.

Just when I thought she was going to be faithful again...the porker bit back!
Just 10 minutes from the house - an almighty bang. Did I hit something????

The I looked in the rear mirror, and the rear windscreen had shattered!

Thankfully it held in place all the way to work, but then collapsed when I shut the door. I suspect there was a bit of a leak (well there's loads of water in the rear floorwells) and with the frost, water had got into the edge of the lamination. When I turned on the rear demister, the screen gave up.

Hmm...so what now...is it covered by insurance? I called - yup - its covered with just a £75 excess. I expect it would have been considerably more if I had to pay for it.

But being an old car, its going to take till Monday. So I'm looking classy, with a big poly sheet taped over the back of the car.

But silver lining??? It may cure the bad leak that I had.
