Hard work!

My lawn has been destroyed this winter - mainly by the dog but also because it has been so waterlogged at times! As neither Kevin or I are 'gardeners' we decided to lose the grass and put gravel down instead - low maintenance!
The gravel has been delivered so today my son and I have lifted the grass in readiness for the gravel. It's been back-breaking but made easier because when we laid it we did so on a membrane layer which has stopped the roots from going too deep.
I know it's a shame to lose the grass but it was such a mess we couldn't enjoy it anyway.
