Balcony with a view

This was the lovely view I had this afternoon while sipping a vino and bird watching at a friends place :) a gorgeous little wetland full of darters, cormorants, coots, ducks and honeyeaters.

As the sun set I said goodbye and headed off to the lunar cinema in Leederville with another friend from my Alice Springs days. We watched 'Tracks' and both instantly became homesick for the desert! It's a fantastic new Australian movie about a true storey of a woman who walks across Australia from Alice to the west coast with four camels and her faithful dog. The cinematography alone is brilliant enough to warrant watching it!
