Furniture Day

The day for our furniture to be delivered has finally arrived. The guys bringing it in the van for us gave the very helpful time slot of "today" so the morning was filled with a lot of pacing between the sofa and the window waiting for them to turn up. Finally they arrived and then it was just a case of playing "fit the furniture up the stairs". The 8 seater table and chairs weren't so bad. It was the 2 metre long sideboard, complete with glass panels that was the hard part.

Thankfully it dismantled in to two parts, the first was difficult but we got it up. The second took 4 guys and getting stuck on the stairs twice before it was in. I got to guard the van for this part as whilst I could carry other heavy things, it was decided the men should do that part. I nearly laughed at the guy when he handed me 3 glass shelves and asked if I was sure I could manage them.

I should have taken this shot whilst it was still daylight as the artificial light doesn't do the lovely maple wood justice. Maybe tomorrow I'll blip the table.
