I've got the cup !!

It was a beautiful day here in sunny Scotland with the temperature reaching a balmy 15c.
So it was a lovely drive down to Berwick tonight for the City cup final played between Berwick Rangers and our team Whitehill Welfare.
Berwick are the only English club to play in the Scottish league so they were always going to be tough opponents playing at a higher level than us .
It showed in the first half with them giving us the runaround at times then they went 1-0 up but we weathered the storm and started the second half only one goal down.
I don't know what our manager said at half time but we came out looking like a different team first to every ball and tackling like our lives depended on it and all our efforts were rewarded with two second half goals.
So we won the cup our captain as he was walking of the park handed the cup to Gavin and said that one was for you wee man it certainly made Gavin's night complete as he shouted tome Dad I've got the cup there could only be one blip after all that .
