Mayhem

The day started off so beautifully with a perfect blue sky and George Sq looking stunning....an hour or so later people even started piling onto the grass sunbathing.
Should have dropped everything and headed to the hills to make the most of it, but instead raced from one meeting to the next, with about 5 minutes breather all day. Still, nice conversation with a student who's really getting into his PhD, lunch meeting with a very interesting woman and some good humoured committee work ( not a usual description!) before a rather taxing formal meeting that needed two gins and some downtime to recover from!
Out to dinner (again!) with visitor to Sweet Melinda's in Marchmont-the fish is still fantastic. If only I wasn't so behind with everything!
