Seascale Sunset

Trip to Cumbria today, took the scenic route through Skipton and Settle where we had a nice lunch, then on to Windermere- nowhere to park - so on to Ambleside where we stopped, had a cup of tea and wandered around the lake side.

Then the best bit - a breathtaking drive over Hardknott pass - gradients of 1 in 3 in places. Absolutely stunning.

Arrived in Seascale around 6, only to find the hotel room we had booked was suffering from very clanky central heating which we couldn't turn off! So as they were fully booked, we moved to a different (and to be honest much nicer) hotel a couple of hundred yards up the road. Have a room looking out over the sea.

Been out for dinner and we walked back with the sun setting over the sea - so here is my blip!
