In fact you couldn't get more yellow than these bad boys. I can never really decide if I really like them, but they do have a couple of points in their favour. They brighten up a very dull bit of the garden when stink all else is happening at this time of year, they're very reliable, and once they've flowered they put up quite happily with an awful lot of rough treatment (they grow through the bridge over the pond and trodden on pretty regularly) and come up quite happily next year. There's a lot to be said for that sort of reliability
