Lunar Eclipse
(Removed my whine)
Tonite is the lunar eclipse, nicely visible to those in the Western Hemisphere. Says the moon will be copper-red, allowing more stars to become visible. Mars is right above the moon, Jupiter sets in the West and Saturn rises under the moon.
Driving home earlier, I saw it just as it was starting, framed in clouds with Mars above and Koko Head below - nowhere to stop and no bite out of the moon yet anyway.
So, here's my best shot!
At least it's a record of the event.
Just took another look, the moon is a coppery-red and Mars visible clearly above it and another bright star just to the upper right of it. Clouds are scudding thru and then clearing. Beautiful nite really.
