Desert Squirrel

Made it!

Not until late this afternoon. I hadn't expected to see any of the flowers out today, but when we arrived back from town there were two flowers open, and two part way out. For those of you who didn't see yesterday's shot, this is Lithops aucampiae var aucampiae, and my specimen has seven heads, five of them in bud yesterday.

I was thinking about going up the hill for the lunar eclipse, but it's not looking promising... just beginning to drizzle again, and 100% overcast.

PS This is the JPEG, straight out of camera, untouched. It looked good, so I didn't bother trying to work on the RAW image.
