One Step Away

With six services running Thursday through Sunday this week, I decided (smile moment) to take the morning off and start my prep work later this afternoon.

An unseasonably warm day, I drove to the river to just aimlessly wander around. It had been quite a few months, and a few seasons, since I had last been there.

The tide was lower than I've ever witnessed which made for some unusual sights. Because of the tidal effect I strolled off to some different vantage points.

It was off the beaten path that I found this stairway. Experiencing the effects of time always gets my imagination working.

I couldn't help but wonder what this area looked like when it was first created. How sad that now it's just one step away from rubble. Actually if one weren't careful it could be one step away from harm.

The reality for me is that we're always just one step away from something. So watch your step tomorrow.
