Belle dolci

I had arranged to take a photo of the owners of the Sicilian pastry shop, Charlina the girl who is in the photo had asked me to come back so the kitchen staff could be prepared and get their best whites on. It was beautiful and sunny this morning, so sunny that my plans to take a photo of the staff and owners outside the shop didn't really work out. On top of that, none of the chefs wanted to be in the photo! Charlina tried her best but they weren't having it...as her father said "We are traditional". I managed to get him in the photo and I quite like the father and daughter shot. This is definitely a traditional Italian pastry shop (the whole family works here) and they make lovely cakes and desserts to die for and it's always busy. Anyway it wasn't exactly the picture I was planning but I'm glad I got something to show for my efforts. Now I'm off for a short rest before making my way to the airport for a long day of travelling. I don't know what my blip will be like tomorrow. I'll try to post some blips as soon as I get near a computer in Canada...goodnight all!
