Hidden Treasure

Today we went to Clovelly Village and Harbour. What a wonderful wee place.

We followed the very steep cobbled pathway all the way to the bottom and eventually reached the harbour area. We met Al and Mary at the entrance to the village as they had come to meet us again on their super bike! The kids loved it but they didn't realise that it wasn't the walk down that was the problem.......it was the walk back up that may hurt our wee legs! lol

We had an amazing day and Big Johnny took all the kids to the edge of the pier crabbing. 3 were caught but it was the Mclellands that "bagged" them. Unfortunately, Gillian's eyes are not better and she has been referred to the eye clinic in Barnstaple so Jim has taken her and the girls have stayed with us. We had a ball!!

When we started the steep walk back up Big Johnny and Mary got to have a wee cider refreshment in one of the village inns! The lady behind the bar told us that there are 170 residents in the village........now that could be a little cosy! haha

I have uploaded lots of pictures of this visit on FB and it was really difficult to pick just one for blip so I hope you like this one. You can see Big Johnny and the kids and Mary on the pier here start the Big Crab!
