A helping hand
A yacht being escorted into Portree Harbour this evening.
No opportunity for blipping these last few weeks. Our younger daughter, who was expecting a baby, was taken into hospital 3 weeks before her due date because of problems with blood pressure. After much deliberation the doctors decided to induce her, three attempts and three days later she finally gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, our first grandchild. Thankfully all was well but it was an anxious wait, not least because she had to go to the large hospital in Inverness, a 2 1/2 hr drive away from Skye.
No sooner was our granddaughter born but I hurt my back, no idea how! the result was that i could barely move for about a week, even struggling to get up and down stairs or do simple tasks, it is amazing how debilitating back pain can be. Two weeks on and I am starting to get back to normal but still a little bit anxious about handling our granddaughter in case I drop her.
Because I was so incapacitated blipping has had to be curtailed but now I am starting to feel a bit more mobile again hopefully I will be able to get out and about more.
