A Day in the City

Headed out East for a great day out with friends in the glorious sunshine. The Olympic Park is still being developed but it is already a fab place to hang out. Even without doing anything like swimming in the Aquatic Centre which we will certainly come back to do. And I hear there is somewhere you can hire bikes too.

But we didn't need any of that with these dynamic fountains in front of the Orbit and the Stadium providing a lot of entertainment before we wandered around to the velodrome via a first playground and then found the Tumbling Bay adventure playground which was so popular we had to have a return visit at the end of the day.

In between we headed into Westfield for a splendid 26 plate effort at Yo Sushi and to the Discovery Centre for a Secret Agent workshop.

After the second visit to the playground we finally cajoled the tiring children back to the tube and home.

Lazy fish and chips dinner and feet up time with that lovely tired feeling you get from a good, long day out.
