Back In The Saddle

Two things that happened on my 41st birthday: I joined Blipfoto, and I got a bike.

One of the hobbies stuck, the other one sadly didn't for very long... For a while I was riding my bike fairly regularly, but then I went working away from home for just short of two years in total – and got out of the habit. In fact right up until this weekend I was ready to sell the bike, and my good mate Mike who'd been kindly looking after it in his lockup, had been actively trying to find me a buyer.

Then I decided: what the heck... I'm still at home (no sign of any new contract) and spring has sprung, so let's get the bike back! Here it is in all its glory.

I only rode it for about 3 minutes tonight and my backside is still sore... I guess it takes some getting used to again...
