Today's the day .......................... to mow

I cut the grass today - first time this year.

It was really quite warm out there too. I had to keep removing layers of clothing that I have been accustomed to wearing since we got back from New Zealand. I was just finishing off the edges with the shears when I spotted this little chap. (Just as well that he hadn't been in the line of fire of the flymo - I thought to myself!)

He was very small so I'm thinking that he must have been spawned last year. We eyed each other up - and there was just time to take a quick picture before he disappeared into the wall somewhere ......................
