Aftermath!

What a day! The village hall was full of folk for a combination of a Big Breakfast, a book sale and also lots of other individual sales tables. I started out helping with the books but then the kitchen called me in to help plate up breakfasts for a couple of hours.

These Big Breakfasts are very popular, juice, egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato, black pudding, toast and marmalade, tea/coffee all for £5.50! Today it was mobbed and chaotic with folk wanting no tomato, or no mushrooms but extra beans, or vegetarian sausage but could they have extra black pudding or could they just have beans on toast? . . . ! Aaaagh! Hey ho, it is only once in a while and brings in a lot of useful funds for the hall!

Once the worst of it was over I retreated to the peace and quiet of the books. Lots sold but many still remaining, even at the princely sum of 5 for £2. Eventually we put them all back into boxes and into the back stage room ready for a sort out and a bit of a cull before it all begins again at the next sale!
