In a crowd of faces......
William and Kate are in Christchurch today...nearly finished their NZ tour, and Ella and I were a bit half and half this morning as to whether we would go in and see if we could get a look at them when they did a walk around.
I eventually thought..Better make an effort, Ella had been talking about wanting to see them for weeks then just because she was a bit tired this morning she couldn't be bothered, I thought she might regret not going in.
So with 1/2 hour before they were due to walk around Latimer Square, we shot into town, found a park and then found quite a good spot to stand with a decent view.
This shot is typical of the ones I got...one of someones elses head in the way of a perfect shot!
We stood sort of behind the back of the Cardboard Cathedral, looking over to the CTV Buildiing site, and had a perfect view of where they were going to walk along the street to Latimer Sq....and when they did arrive and do just that we saw him and her perfectly!
They spent ages talking to the family members of the CTV building victims, then walked past us, waved and walked around into the Catheral. Latimer Sq was really crowded, so we left at that point....I managed some good shots of the going on's, Ella got the best one on her phone of Kate walking by!
