Camp David Accords

We went to see a new play this afternoon called Camp David at the Arena Stage Theater. It was quite excellent. It was about the 13 days in 1978 that Jimmy Carter spent at the presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains with Anwar Sadat and Menachem Begin, trying to get a peace agreement. It was a lesson in history as well as poignant and moving, with a little humor thrown in. Everyone in the audience seemed to be over 50 so probably remembered living through this. Overall it has been well received and the cast hopes to take it to Broadway. My blip today is the venue.
