Evening all.

You know, it didn't seem that long ago that number one daughter was getting party invitations from her peer group, hand written by parents as the children were too young to write, and they involved, jelly, cake, pass the parcel and some exchanging of crap, cheap and cheerful brightly wrapped presents passed between little princesses and small superheroes.

Now, it's prom dresses, fancy cars, hair, nails, make up, plus ones, non alcoholic cocktails and corsages...

Maybe it was longer ago than I thought....
