We made it!

Up Pendle Hill. ( Not a witch in sight!) more about the witches here
Not sure if we will ever do it again!
The large picture shows our group as we reached the bottom of the hill.

Although the way up was a straight climb, and very steep, I thought our way back was worse.
Not steep but about 5 miles of very narrow difficult stony paths,. Gradually taking us back down to the village of Barley, which is where we set off.
8 miles in all.
Never enjoyed a glass of shandy so much as I did when we got back to the pub!
Feeling quite pleased with myself for having done this walk.
I know it's not the London marathon, but quite an achievement for us

( By the way, Congratulations to all those who did the marathon today, and raised so much money for charity.)

Off now for a long soak in a hot bath!!
