Westmorland

We started the day in Chester, feeding ducks on the River Dee. Our friend (and fellow blip member) lives right next to the city wall and the river. We walked to the nearby park in the morning with our host and another Blipper friend and her family - super to meet her beautiful baby boy for the first time after seeing him on his journal all this time. We walked into the city for lunch. We've seen some beautiful cities on our travels this week but I think Chester is possibly the prettiest of all. There was a good market on and I couldn't resist buying a massive veggie burrito for lunch. The others found a splendid £1 bakery. Genius! We sat and ate lunch on a bench outside the cathedral, and were entertained by a man playing steel pans. Grace thought this was brilliant and had a bit of a dance in the street. I love how uninhibited she is at times. Not a care in the world when music is around. After saying goodbye to our host and a quick visit to see Hubby's brother across the river Mersey, it was back into the car for the journey home. We ended it with tea as we had started it...feeding ducks! This time it was at Westmorland service station on the M6. However lovely our holiday has been (and it has been really, really lovely), it was nice to be home soon after this photo was taken.
