It Begins....

The Swallows are back over the Figgate (along with a couple of House Martins and a Sand Martin). Numbers will climb quite a bit over the next wee while till there are swarms about, and I can kick off my annual attempt to get a decent in-flight shot of these wee fighter jets (this is too grainy and required sharpening).

Saves a third fox photo in a row of a grizzly ole dog fox. Though almost went with a comical peering Yellowhammer, or scratching Goosander. But the Swallows and Martins I really look forward to returning every year, so there was a little leap in my heart when I saw the first couple in the air. Welcome back guys.
