Ghost bridge

Todays mystery walk took us along The Dramway, which is right on our doorstep.
The Dramway path is 9 miles long and follows sections of a route of a 19th Century tramway. It carried coal from Coalpit Heath in Bristol coalfields to the Rivor Avon.
The Dramway used special tracks with fish belly rails curved underneath to give them extra strength.
It was one of the last horse drawn railways built in the country, a few years before steam railways made them redundant.
Ghost Bridge pictured here was originally built to carry local footpaths and roads safely over The Dramway.
