What's your personality?
One of the things we like to do with our students is give them a little insight into their personalities and that of others. We don't do complicated psychometric testing though; we play personality poker! Its deceptively simple game that helps people to identify what their strengths and weaknesses are, why there are some people they just don't get on with, and the importance of a mix of skills/personality traits in a team. They each get dealt a hand of five cards, then they have to swap people for other cards that suit them better, and then there is a mad scramble to get the best possible hand from cards scattered on the floor. Though it doesn't replace detailed profiling such as Belbin or Myers-Briggs, it can be surprisingly accurate.
If you want to have a go yourself, here's an on-line version that will give you a wee taster.
