The Accessible River Forth

Part of my route on my Sunday morning 6.5mile walk around Stirling took me towards the Forthside area of Stirling where the cinema is.

A new Premier Inn has recently been built in this area and a new path has opened behind the hotel between it and the River Forth.

It has always been a long term Stirling Council plan to make the River Forth more accessible from the city centre and as you can see from the photo this is slowly starting to come true.

It may not be the prettiest river in the world with the mudflats for most of the rivers length in the Stirling area but it is good to be able to see this area which has been hidden for decades:- and as you can see from some of my other photos on Stirling Weather the old harbour can now viewed as history starts to shows its face again.
