Sun and a crane

All I could see was a thick cloud in the sky this evening.
And through it there was a dim light that was supposed to come from the setting sun.
I walked around to get a position where the crane seemed to hoist the sun but soon I found the cable of the crane too short to get to the sun.
Damn it.
