Shadows & Stones
I did take pretty photos on this sunny spring day (finally!) but this one looked more interesting with a little story to tell.
Firstly, the feline 'help' was full & abundant every time I aimed the camera. One cst insisted on head butting my hand just before I clicked the shutter. Petting comes before blipping as far as PD Budd is concerned.
Terribly out of focus flowers there.
In the back garden I discovered a large rock that the snow and cold had broken into three or four smaller rocks. It is slate, I think. Just as I was focusing on the sharp triangular piece that looks as if it could be a scraping tool used by Native Americans (FYI: the white folk call them that P.C. title-- the Indians prefer the title 'Indian').
Let's see... where was I?
Yes, that sharp stone in the center went into my rock collection today but not before Gracie T-t jumped into the frame and planted one of her polydactyl paws right on the rocks the camera looked at. She did help to give a sense of proportion/size to the rocks. Thank you GT-t
So, what's in this blip?
Lower left corner is the shadow of my long finger pointing at GT-t to get out of the picture. Darn it! The upper left is her head in shadow. It gets confusing because she is black except for the feet and chest.
Then moving clockwise we see her cute paw. I love how the white tips emphasize her thumb and the other digits. At the center is the sharp slate stone. The rest is grass and weeds.
Now, wasn't that more interesting than a couple of crocus?
Tomorrow we are predicted (by the Weather Idiots) to get up to 75ºF (24ºC). We are going to catch up with all you across-the-Atlantic blippers!
