Bonsai rock
We took a short vacation to Lake Tahoe. My wife had seen other photos on Blipfoto of "Bonsai Rock" so we took a drive and a hike to find it. People in the hotel had no idea what she was talking about. It is located about 1.5 miles South of Sand Harbor on highway 28. Park on side of road and look for a trail down to the water. At the rate of growth of the pines, it will not look like a Bonsai for much longer. There was a group of rocks to the right (North) of "Bonsai Rock" that a group of teenage boys were jumping from one to the other and then some more closer to shore that another group of teenager were getting ready to have a picnic. I was glad I am not a paramedic in this area for sooner or later a teenager will get hurt and call for assistance.
