But, then again . . . . .

Went with Sis and her husband to a quit show today, the patchwork gene must run in the family. It was organised by "Abingdon Quilt Groups" with a portion being devoted to the memory of one of their members and a friend of Sis. She had survived cancer as a young woman, probably over forty years ago, and sadly died from its after effects last year. From the tribute to her, she was obviously a lady who made a great impression on many peoples’ lives through her positive attitude.

I particularly like this little quilt, it looks very like a piece of origami (not surprising considering its title) or even a flower bud, ready to open up into something new and exciting. Janet, the stitcher, says that it was inspired by a jug in the local museum, the jug having come from a narrow boat.

After a meal, we went for a walk along the bank of the Thames; there was a long discussion as to which way the river was flowing, eventually we agreed that it was going from left to right. It was some time before we reached a weir which demonstrated categorically that it went from right to left.

I have just posted “Project Linus” for March 29th.
