Three (confused) little maids
Not sure if these are bluebells who think they are wallflowers, or wallflowers dressed up as bluebells. But I'm sure there was none growing on this wall last year.
I make no apology for the preponderance of flowers over the past few days. Spring flowers are so beautiful and we don't have that many springs in a lifetime, do we? Or as A E Housman put it when he was twenty (in Loveliest of Trees) ...
Now, of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.
And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.
