Edinburgh street name

Walking from seeing Peppa Pig at the Kings Theatre at Tollcross (and yes, I was with family incl 2 u5s) to the Filmhouse in Lothian Rd and spotted this great sounding street name!
In the Scots dictionary Bauk has many meanings and not quite sure which one applies - must investigate more but it might be something quite simple like Thorny Path
