Dogwood Lace

The Dogwood blossoms are stunning this year. The cultivated ones are especially beautiful. But that is elsewhere.

Here at home, and in other heavily wooded areas around E. Tennessee where the Dogwoods compete for sun, water, and nutrients, they blossom bravely and proudly, and appear as white lace amongst the green sheen of the leaf-budded woods.
