Choppy

14.4C with long bright spells. Windy with speeds of up to 33mph gusting to 48mph through the afternoon.

Maeve the Deerhound and I had a wander round Arbroath harbour about 9am or so. As we walked round the inner basin we saw the big boatyard crane lorry being readied to lower a boat called Wee Ally into the harbour. Wee Ally is normally moored in a corner in the inner basin so I have to assume it has been out of the water for some work to be done. I did take some photos but both boat and lorry were very much in the dark shade and colour was lacking. I preferred a shot showing the choppy water in the outer basin of the harbour.

Maeve and I had a walk after lunch. We went round the usual route. It was very windy down on the beach. On the way back up the road I noticed that the wind was causing faint dust clouds to be picked up from the dry soil in the fields.
