The Grand Opening
Went down to Ness this morning (curious that we always speak about going "down north" ) for the opening of the new bird observatory built by the Urras (the community land trust). It was 'opened' by an old friend, Roy Dennis, the renown ornithologist to a crowd of over thirty people who turned up and stayed for tea/coffee and cake at the Decca restaurant. Roy gave a short and very inspirational talk. There was a very strong wind today, so not great for spotting birds, but it will be great to visit often in the future.
