Snake’s head fritillary

These flowered for the first time last year, but look much better this year. I've been working on a web page for 'Art in the Park' - theses are nature's art, and are beautiful. Thanks to Senior Park Ranger Lydia Allt for letting me know they ere flowering - I checked before I went to the Lake District, but there wasn't anything to see then. These lovely wildflowers aren't seen all that often nowadays, so it is a real privilege to have some in the local park.
