Foraging with the family

This family of Egyptian Geese has seven babies. They were wandering leisurely next to the banks of the ponds in Vondelpark as they gathered their afternoon meal. While one parent was eating, the other was keeping a very careful watch for danger.

A few weeks ago, in Beatrixpark, a family with 12 babies was doing the same. The geese are actually quite tame and both families allowed me to come very close.
