Marathon weekend

We have arrived in London: me, 2 colleagues and 14 brilliant students.

It was a really good journey south with lots of laughter along with excellent behaviour from the group of young people. They are already proving to be great ambassadors for the college, Blackpool, and their families.

After dropping off the equipment and checking in at the hostel, most went to Harrods while I took 4 students to the marathon exhibition.

Having done a radio interview for Radio Lancashire this morning, when Radio London asked if we were running and I explained why we are here, they were also keen for an interview.

Maybe I just just hold press conferences!

The exhibition was a good opportunity for me to talk to charities and potential suppliers, and for the students to see the huge variety of running and ancillary gear on the market.

By running a very short loop on a track we qualified for a free tee shirt each.

This evening After a very pleasant meal together this evening everyone was back at the hostel by 10pm. I think we have tired them out and it's only day 1!
