Yard Work
Unloaded our firewood, Mr. L. chopped down some scrubby trees on the edge of our yard to make way for the new wood-burning stove. Pruning shears are my new favorite tool! Amazed that they can be used to cut down a small tree. Ground is still frozen, so we had a little bonfire to dispose of the unwanted branches and soften the earth so it can be leveled to build a platform for the stove. I purloined a few likely looking branches to set up as perches around the balcony feeder to help with bird photography. Same with the fire wood - some of the logs were so beautiful that I almost blipped them.
