Ogbourne Village Store.

Another nine hours of coursework marking today..... But I did make it out the house and drove through Ogbourne St George. It is a small village near Marlborough, where the A346 was built to bypass the village.

Ogbourne hasn't had village shop and post office since 1990 .....

The store was run by Tom and Roberta Heppell and Mrs Heppell’s parents, Robert and Brenda Murphy. But falling trade and soaring business rates forced to them to shut up shop.

The Heppells still live in the Georgian High Street building which bears the legend ‘Village Store and Post Office’.
