They are playing a card game, in which players win the hand if their card has a higher number than their opponent's. James loves number and this game is good for him as the numbers go up to 200 - in school he's in P1 and works with numbers up to 10, so he needs extra stimulation at home.

As you can see, he and his grandad have a lovely relationship.
