Up on the roof

Had a well deserved chill out morning today before we headed back the centre of the city.

First stop was Musee National De L'Orangerie to see some of Monet's Water Lillies. Then it was a quick walk to the Grand Palais to see the Mapplethorpe exhibition that's on which was brilliant. I've been a fan for as long as I can remember so was great seeing some of his photographs up close.

A walk along the Champs Élysées towards the Arc de Triomphe was next where this was taken. I have always loved the view from the ground looking up at the roof of this monument so thought I'd share.

A busy day was then rounded off by walking back to the Louvre where we spent a while wondering round one of the wings of the building.

Glorious weather, great day, tired feet!
