Argus, my love...

My best friend passed away suddenly today... his name was Argus, most people called him Gus. He was the sweetest, smartest, lovey pup you could ever imagine and I am feeling absolutely lost without him tonight. He knew his left from right, knew how to back up, speak, dance in a circle on his hind legs when asked to "dance"- he knew how to lay down, how to pray with both front paws, how to sit, sit pretty (begging), he would offer kisses when asked and even when they were not asked of him... When I was upset and would cry he would lick my eyes and try to get me to cheer up by his loving kisses. He loved me as much as I loved him and through the tears, I hope he's chasing a rubber chicken toy around heaven sqeaking it like a little madman. Our love was unconditional and he will forever be in my heart...

Tonight will be a lonely night without him... a lonely life without him, my best friend.
