Mr B and the world

Ambling

The B's went to Ambleside today. What an excellent town! The sun was out and the shops were open...

Aside from the town, the journey from Keswick and back is breathtaking. Passing Helvellyn, Grasmere, Thirlmere and Rydal Water and lots of Herdy sheep are but some of the highlights. The journey back allows some amazing panoramic views of Keswick and the Derwentwater fells. Makes you feel lucky to be alive!

Ambleside was a centre for wool and tourism to and from Bowness-on-Windermere (as it sits on Lake Windermere's northern shore. This photo is of the old Bridge house, which is now a grade 1 listed information centre and owned by the national trust. Once serving as an apple house near to the fulling mill over 300 years ago.

We had an awesome lunch at 'The Apple Pie Cafe'. Definitely recommend this to anyone!

In other news, Little B went for her 2nd pool swim of her life and very much enjoyed it! Lengths by the Sunmer!
