Oban
Now a strange thing has happened. I blipped as usual round about 5.30 this afternoon. Now neither picture nor text is anywhere to be seen. How'd that happen??
So change of picture. This was Oban this morning in the sunshine. I've blipped those red roofs before, but they are so cheerful I can't resist them. The little ferry tied up at the North Pier is the Loch Riddon (Loch Raodain in Gaelic), a small 12 car CalMac ro-r0 which seems to be operating temporarily between Oban and Lismore. It's usually based at Largs. Useless fact about this little ferry is that it has no funnel as such, so the company colours are painted on the wheel house instead, easily seen in Large.
