London Marathon Expo
I've never had such an involved process or so many instructions as there are for the London marathon. Normally it's put on your race number and maybe a chip and go.
So we had to go to the excel centre and take our form along with photo ID to pick up your number and chip. With all that effort it was a surprise when they gave SR someone else's number. Good job she noticed. The expo is the highest density of running kit on the planet, along with many other marathons to enter around the world and charities to support. We stopped by and said hi to shelter who we are running for.
So when you've got your number, your chip, your souvenir t-shirt and you can't face looking at any more running kit this is where you come and sit down. It's also where they have speakers and we were lucky enough to have Martin Yelling come and give us some last minute tips on running the race. Some advice about pacing and some good psychological tips. Apparently 99% of people who take the start make it to the finish.
