Coming in for the night

This morning after breakfast and packing for coming home I had a crowd of children to do the Bear Hunt for. I'm getting lots of practice these days.
It was the usual chaos at the checkout with every one checking out, chatting, saying their goodbyes and heading off.

We'd had a brilliant time at the wedding.

The drive up from the Lakes was beautiful, The Borders was stunning with a thick frost over everything and pale winter blue sky.

I popped out to deliver some cards and caught these rowers coming at the the end of the session. It must have been a cold day on the water today.

We put the christmas tree up this afternoon. And to mark the occasion the house was full of the sounds of Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
