Mellow Yellow

A beautiful sunny day with clear blue skies and a nice drying wind.

The yellow flowers are Red Russian Kale which has bolted - the bumble bees and hover flies are very glad of them.

In the background there is even more yellow in the form of Kerria Japonica - I've never seen it so full of flowers.

I spent all morning cleaning, it was a job which needed doing and today I was in just the right mood to do it!

This afternoon I sowed some more seeds in the greenhouse: pumpkin, purple podded peas & sweet peas. With this warmth they will soon germinate.
